Limassol has been a host for a number of events in Cyprus.Recently it hosted the 'Festival of Dragon Boats'. It was held on the sea in the area of the sea front, at the Old Harbor end of the promenade.

It was quite a tough competition!
As I understand this race was primarily for local crews, with little or no dragon boating experience. So it was a friendly race and everyone was a winner :)
Finally after the race, there was a tug-of-war of a different kind ;) You can see this from the picture below!
